Liturgical Retreats for Families

Dominican liturgy, preaching and the community that grows out of them, with activities for both parents and their children – this is why it is worth booking a place now for this year’s liturgical retreat of the Dominican Liturgical Center Foundation.

March 18-20, 2022 on Saint Anne’s Mountain

Retreat about… liturgy? Yes and no: it will be a retreat during which we are going to talk about the liturgy and learn about it, but most of all we will celebrate the liturgy and we will let its beauty guide and shape us.

It sounds like the liturgical retreat Mysterium fascinans (www.mf.org.pl) that we co-organize every year, right? However, there is something that makes this retreat different: it is a retreat for families, especially for families with young children.

If you are parents of children, you know very well how difficult it is to find time and energy for spiritual formation that will involve whole family – we invite you to the hospitable Franciscan retreat house on Saint Anne’s Mountain (www.dompielgrzyma.pl), where, as a team of the Dominican Liturgical Center, we will try to help your families prepare for a better experience of the Holy Easter Triduum.

The main lecturer will be the respected author and experienced family priest, Fr. Mirosław Pilśniak OP, who will be assisted by fathers Łukasz Miśko OP and Wojciech Sznyk OP as well as other employees and friends of our Foundation.

Who We Are

We are certain that the power of the Church depends on the way liturgy is celebrated. For the majority of Catholics participating in Mass is a basic form of experiencing faith. The quality of their faith depends on what they see, hear and experience during Mass. That is why we teach faith and share tools to experience it in liturgy. We believe that because of that the Church will renew itself.

Applications and rules of participation

The given prices include accommodation and full board during the retreat. In addition, we honor the Large Family Card (Polish Gov’s), giving its holders a 10% discount (details in the regulations). This year the number of participants will be limited, so we encourage you not to delay your application.

Update: the pool of available places has already been exhausted, we are currently accepting applications for the reserve list – sign up and we will invite you to participate as soon as a place becomes available.

“As we know perfectly well, a parent is the one who communicates a multitude of different values on a daily basis, including the transmission of faith. Therefore, we want a part of this retreat to introduce the message of faith in such a way that is accessible to the parent and interesting for the child”

Mirosław Pilśniak, O.P.
