Grzegorz Doniec OP

Musician, instrumentalist

A Dominican, a musician-instrumentalist. He’s a passionate of liturgy and liturgical music. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Krakow, where he studied the clarinet. He’s a PhD student at the Faculty of Theology at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

He performed with the Orchestra of the National Krakow Philharmonic both in Poland and abroad. In the Order, as a many-years’ cantor he taught singing and initiated many different music events focusing mostly on popularising Gregorian chant.

He wrote his master thesis on the presentation of liturgical music according to Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI. He teaches the theology of liturgy and the selection of repertoire classes at the Cantorial School in Krakow.

He used to work for the Dominican Liturgical Center from 2016 to 2018.
